As we continue to celebrate the 5-year anniversary of Marvel Champions: The Card Game, we asked the game’s design team to share some insights as we look back at half a decade of accomplishments. Read on to see what they have to share for this Marvel Champions 5-year retrospective!

Today, Fantasy Flight Games announces the release of the next installment in the Star Wars™: Unlimited card game series, Twilight of the Republic, now available for purchase. As the third set in the series, which launched in March, this expansion brings fresh gameplay, memorable scenes, and iconic characters, offering exciting experiences for both longtime fans and newcomers.

Being a general in the Galactic Empire can be a thankless and precarious position; they are held to the highest standards, responsible for any failures of their subordinates, and subject to intense scrutiny by higher authorities. Few have risen to this post more ably than General Veers, deemed a tactical genius and responsible for a number of great victories, most notably the assault on a rebel base on the frozen planet of Hoth. Accompanied by terrifying snowtroopers trained and equipped for this hostile environment, Veers is an exemplary officer.

It’s that time of year again. A chill wind blows across the benighted cityscape of Arkham, Massachusetts, and our investigators must once again steel themselves for new horrors, terrors, specters...and winter. Midwinter, to be precise. FAQ 2.3: The Midwinter Gala edition is here, and it’s just as terrifying as the last. Read on—if you dare.

Emil Blonsky was a spy at the U.S. Air Force Base where Dr. Bruce Banner was conducting his experiments with gamma radiation when he was accidently bombarded with that radiation, turning him into Abomination. Unlike Hulk, Abomination can’t just shift between his human and superhuman forms. Without that capability, Abomination’s terrifying strength and appearance are always on display, and he is treated like a dangerous monster. That difference with Hulk, more than anything, drives Abomination’s hate towards him. While Emil still possesses his mind as Abomination, his lack of scruples and options push him to act like a monster as well.

There’s a storm on the way! Dirk Garthwaite and his boys, Dr. Eliot Franklin, Henry Camp, and Brian Calusky, have escaped from Ryker’s Island and recovered the enchanted crowbar that contains the trapped power of Wrecker, a power that Dirk previously held. All four men hold fast to the crowbar and raise it into the sky! Lightning strikes! The mystic crowbar, Enchanted by Karnilla, Queen of Norns, disperses its power into the four men holding it, transforming them into the Wrecking Crew!

Mephisto rules a fiery nether realm, loves to impersonate the biblical Satan, and is empowered by the damned souls he’s tricked into accepting his bargains. He is unambiguously evil and completely untrustworthy, and he still manages to manipulate great heroes into accepting his deals. He’s very good at being bad.

Hello everyone and welcome to today’s spooktacular tour of Dracula’s Tomb for Marvel: Crisis Protocol (insert lightning flash and ominous thunder here).

On the night of the full moon, a team of supernatural commandos skulk slowly toward a castle on a hill. The thralls guarding the way are quickly dispatched so they can’t call out, which could notify the true threat. Despite the commandos’ best efforts, the master of the castle, Dracula, is alerted to their presence by his army of thralls at the heart of the castle. The inevitable showdown commences!

For examination this time we offer a rogue’s gallery of seedy, deadly, and unpleasant characters, all renowned bounty hunters. Their names are well known: Boba Fett, Bossk, IG-88, and Dengar. These mercenaries have worked together before, often assembled alongside other assassins and criminals prowling the galaxy. Each lacks moral compunctions so long as they get paid. They are professionals, but prefer the dark side of the business, often delivering their targets dead rather than alive.

Years after gambling away the Millennium Falcon, Lando Calrissian won big and became the baron administrator of Cloud City, an independent mining colony on the planet Bespin. Balancing the needs of tibanna mining, tourism, and a demanding mercantile class on Cloud City can be tricky, but Lando is always ready with a card hidden up his sleeve, a loaded die, or a quick exit.

Let’s take a closer look at the Elite Squad, which was assembled in one of the darker chapters of the history of CT-9904, once known as “Crosshair.” This squad was assembled after his falling out with the other members of Clone Force 99, the Bad Batch. Crosshair was the only member of the Batch who attempted to obey Order 66 when the command to neutralize the Jedi Order came down. Unlike the others, he possessed a strong and genuine loyalty to the Galactic Empire, a conviction that was not solely a compulsion of his behavioral modification biochip.
